thedailywhat: The Interpipes Are Leaking of the Day: Author, military historian, and two-time Jeopardy! champion James Erwin has just sold his first screenplay to Warner Bros. — a war epic developed from comments he left in response to a question on the social news site Reddit. The Des Moines native’s reply to a hypothetical scenario involving time-traveling marines battling Augustus in ancient...

It has been awhile since I’ve actually visited this place and sat down to chat with some of you. I miss my old Tumblr pals. How is everyone doing?

comicbooks: Brian Hiatt of Rolling Stone magazine interviews comic book creator Grant Morrison. Also check out the separate/companion introspective piece for the mag titled Grant Morrison: Psychedelic Superhero. Click here to read it. Below is an excerpt of the interview, and something Morrison and I agree on: I like that you find the word ‘geek’ offensive. Yeah, it is, it’s circus freaks,...

Secret Warriors.
Secret Warriors ended today. It makes my heart sad, but damn did it have a great ride. Mr. Hickman, if you ever read this, I want you to know that you created one amazing series that I hope gets the recognition it deserves. There will never be another series like it. (By the way, I’m still alive.)

kevindrakewriter asked: You find yourself just awoken in a cold, damp, and vast room. You are strapped to a cold surgical table and you hear the snap and crackle of electricity. An ominous voice comes from the shadows declaring you to be the beginning of a new age. The old woman comes out of the shadows in a lab coat and surgical gloves. She wheels before her a cart that had shiny metal surgical equipment, all that look...

I just caught up with Game of Thrones
panasonicyouth: WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE HOLY FUCK HOW CAN YOU DO THAT I have never felt so unprepared in my whole life. No loneliness or heartbreak has ever pierced me so deeply as this week’s episode of Game of Thrones.

I've made quite the mistake
fuckyeahcaptainamerica: Going through my tracked tags the other night, I came across this picture and dragged it onto my desktop without taking note of the OP. After posting it last night, the OP messaged me and asked me to give credit. I made a jerk move and lied to him. I’ve since edited the post and gave credit where credit is due. I’d like to offer my sincerest apologies...

ziggymardust asked: I have no expectations for First Class, is it really that bad? I hated X-Men Origins, 1 & 3 but thought X2 (buh) was a bearable.

The only redeeming parts of X-Men: First Class were Magneto and Professor X. Emma was cool. Sebastian was cool. The rest of the movie was a disgustingly mangled piece of crap due to Fox’s inability to understand source material. The team was terribly boring and every death in the movie was unnecessary/illogical/poorly constructed. Best X-Men movie out of all of them, but that isn’t...

drasticsigns: fivecentsplease: khaleesi: justaguywitharrows: awyeahlongbox: Sources inside DC say that in the interests of a more diverse but less confusing universe, Hal Jordan is now the only Green Lantern, period. NO are you fucking kidding me I thought I might actually like the transition. Now I say we grab our torches and pitchforks.

thatkidsgotmoxie: mygodhasahammer: Did Marvel really just pull this shit again with Fear Itself #3? Goodness gracious.  Uh oh…What happened? Cause I just started reading this series? You’ll see at the end of #3. It doesn’t break the series for me, but it is such a gimmicky move on the part of Marvel to inspire some sort of temporary shock value.
